Fun and new discoveries were certainly on the agenda on Friday, May 23, at the Domaine de Châteauvieux, during the luncheon organized by Asage.
The themed event lived up to expectations, filling the Michelin-starred restaurant, which had been reserved exclusively for the occasion: 60 guests—mostly alumni of prestigious universities now working in Switzerland—had the privilege of attending this sophisticated and convivial gathering.
During the cocktail reception, held on the porch of the Maison de Satigny, Philippe Chevrier spoke candidly. He spoke about his journey as an entrepreneur, his early days in the industry, the trust placed in him by his banker, his successive restaurant openings—up to 19 at one point, compared to 9 today— staff management, the importance of service, interpersonal relationships in the industry, and, of course, his cuisine, which follows the rhythm of the seasons. Sensitive topics, such as the recent loss of his Michelin star, were addressed head-on.
Next up is lunch, featuring an exceptional food-and-wine pairing. A divine sensory experience showcasing local, seasonal ingredients, such as Bresse chicken with morel mushrooms served with a vin jaune sauce.
Without a doubt, the guests enjoyed meeting each other for the first time or reconnecting in this idyllic setting.
