Together, they explored key issues:

The Evolution of Relations Between Switzerland and France.

The Future of Liberal Democracies in the Face of Autocratic Regimes.

The Role of Multilateralism in a Changing World.

The issue of energy and the Franco-German differences on this subject.

🌍 A Perspective on Europe and the Global Economy

With an audience largely made up of Swiss residents, the sometimes lukewarm relationship between Switzerland and the European Union was naturally at the center of the discussions. Marc Ferracci emphasized the complexity of the negotiations, especially in the context of the upcoming European elections.

On the economic front, the discussions focused on the appointment of Mario Draghi as special advisor on European competitiveness and on the impact of protectionist policies in the United States and China. Laurent Dominati emphasized the importance of trade while calling for better coordination of European economic strategies.

🏢 An ideal setting for open discussion

In the warm atmosphere of the brasseries at Les Halles de l’Île in Geneva, the discussions lasted more than two hours, punctuated by insightful questions from the audience. It was an evening rich in reflection and constructive debate, reminding us of the precious freedom of expression we enjoy.

🏆 A milestone event for ASAGE

After hosting iconic figures such as David Douillet in 2021 and Edgar Grospiron in 2022, ASAGE has this time delved into the intricacies of international politics. This was a wonderful opportunity to better understand the challenges of tomorrow and to continue reflecting on our changing world.

On Saturday, September, 202. 3, ASAGE had the privilege of welcoming two exceptional speakers for an…

[327,328
post-44726","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-all-past-events","category-exceptional-speakers","tag-330","tag-geneva

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
