On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, ASAGE had the privilege of kicking off its season at a legendary venue: UEFA headquarters in Nyon.
A rare moment—very few people have the chance to walk through these doors and see the trophies, jerseys, and symbols that embody the history of European soccer.
💡 Under the inspiring leadership of Filippo Veglio, Head of Social & Environmental Sustainability, alongside Vincent Reulet and Presilia Mpanu-Mpanu, our 140 participants got an inside look at UEFA’s social and environmental strategy.
It’s worth noting that UEFA, an umbrella organization with 55 members—primarily European national associations—operates far beyond major competitions: its impact extends from amateur clubs to fans, and it plays a major role in the governance and development of the sport.
🍴 The evening continued with a convivial dinner at Colovray Champion’s Restaurant, where the networking continued in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
⚙️ Finally, we had the opportunity to hear from Yvan Cognasse of Oracle, who shared fascinating insights into the role of technology and artificial intelligence in sports—from soccer to sailing, Formula 1, and tennis— AI is already redefining performance and decision-making.
🙏 A big thank you to our speakers, to UEFA—especially Valentina Miotti for her exceptional hospitality—and to all the alumni who attended this first gathering of the new school year.
A landmark event, at the intersection of the iconic and the innovative, true to the ASAGE spirit, masterfully organized by the volunteer project team consisting of Christophe Merveille, Joanne Venouil, and Thibaut Gallineau.
